Indoor Herb Garden
Some people might be so completely dependant on herbs that they will love to have them available to them at all times. The best way to make that possible is to make your very own small herb garden.
There are no special restrictions as to the development of an indoor herb garden with the basic requirement being an access to an open western or southern side of an open window with a good sunlight available for your garden. |

The best herbs to start off with in your indoor herb garden are the rosemary, thyme, and mint which can be either used from the cuttings of the original herbs or buying the young plants from the florists. If you opt for buying young plants, extra care will have to taken to plant them as you will have to start of with a soil less mixture which consists of the vermiculite, and peat. There are directions written on the packages of herbs bought which should be carefully followed. The much cleaner and less messy way of creating the herb garden is to use seeds which don't involve the slopping of all the dirt around in a measuring cup.
For the use of seeds and herbs growing procedure you will have to involve the use of the pots. The pots most preferred are the heavy clay or the terra cotta mostly because they allow the circulation of the air and water in the soil; however any pot with good drainage is suitable. Pots used are preferably small with a diameter of 6" at the top. Several seeds can also be planted in one single pot, but it is advisable to plant them separately.
Start off with the regular potting soil, and then tuck the seeds into the soil at a depth which varies for individual seeds but is always specified on the seed package. Next, you will have to keep the pot in the sunny southern or western side of window with adequate sunlight. The most important thing here is to keep the soil damp through out. However once the sprouts make sure not to over water the soil.
Once you are done with your garden, don't be afraid to use it time and again with the special care of key factors.
